What is the Markdown to HTML?

A Markdown to HTML converter turns Markdown — the lightweight syntax used by GitHub, Notion, Discord and countless static-site generators — into the HTML a browser actually renders. Frequently asked questions

What Markdown features are supported?

Headings, paragraphs, bold/italic/strike, inline and fenced code, blockquotes, lists (ordered, unordered, nested, task), links, images, tables and horizontal rules. The renderer follows common GitHub-flavored Markdown conventions.

Does it support code-block syntax highlighting?

Code blocks render with monospaced styling and the language label, but full color tokenization isn't applied in this view — for syntax-highlighted source, save the .html and add a highlighter like Prism or highlight.js, or use a static-site generator.

How does the “Full .html” download differ from the fragment?

The fragment is just the rendered <h1>/<p>/<ul>… markup, ready to paste into an existing page. The full document is a complete .html file with <html>, <head> (title, charset, viewport, basic CSS) and your content inside <body> — open it directly in a browser.

Why does my Markdown look different from GitHub?

GitHub adds its own CSS and a few non-standard extensions. The tool covers the core GFM features and a sensible default style; for an exact GitHub look, embed the rendered HTML and apply GitHub's CSS (github-markdown.css).

Are tables supported?

Yes. Use the standard pipe syntax (`| col | col |`) with a separator row (`| --- | --- |`); the tool renders them as styled <table>s.

Can I include raw HTML in my Markdown?

Raw HTML is allowed where standard Markdown permits it (paragraphs, divs). The renderer escapes content inside code blocks; outside them, recognized inline HTML passes through.

Is the HTML output safe?

Toollyz renders Markdown locally and sanitizes obvious attack vectors (e.g. event handlers, script tags) typical of safe Markdown engines. If you accept Markdown from untrusted users in your own app, always run it through a dedicated sanitizer before injecting it.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Toollyz has no server — Markdown is parsed and rendered entirely in your browser. Your last document is saved only in your device's local storage.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The editor and preview are responsive — Split shows side-by-side on wide screens and stacks vertically on phones.
